Professional Services
Supporting wellbeing in the workplace is about more than responding when someone is struggling.
It is also about creating environments where people feel valued, understood and able to thrive.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent many years working within investment banking and financial services IT. This experience gives me an understanding of the realities of corporate life, demanding workloads, deadlines, organisational change, workplace relationships and the challenge of balancing professional responsibilities with life outside of work.
Through Micol Counselling and Therapy, I bring together my experience of the corporate environment and psychotherapy to provide practical, thoughtful and people-centred support to organisations and their employees.
Services can be tailored to the needs, culture and objectives of your organisation.
Workplace Wellbeing
The pressures of working life can have a significant impact on emotional wellbeing. Stress, demanding workloads, organisational change, workplace relationships and difficulties balancing work and personal life can all affect how people feel and function both inside and outside the workplace.
I work with organisations to support employee wellbeing and encourage healthier conversations around mental health at work. Support can be tailored to your organisation and may include wellbeing sessions, facilitated discussions, mental health awareness initiatives and support around workplace stress and burnout.
The aim is to provide practical and accessible support that helps people better understand their wellbeing while contributing to a healthier and more supportive workplace culture.
Mental Health Workshops
Mental health workshops can provide employees and managers with the knowledge, confidence and practical tools to better understand and support emotional wellbeing in the workplace.
I offer engaging and accessible workshops that combine therapeutic understanding with an awareness of the realities of working life.
Topics can be tailored to your organisation and may include:
Managing Stress & Burnout
Understanding the signs of stress and developing practical ways of responding before it becomes overwhelming.
Building Emotional Resilience
Exploring how we manage pressure, change and difficult experiences while protecting our wellbeing.
Understanding Mental Health at Work
Helping employees and managers feel more confident having conversations about mental health.
Neurodiversity in the Workplace
Developing greater awareness of different ways of thinking, communicating and working, and considering how workplaces can become more inclusive.
Workshops can be adapted to suit different teams, organisations and working environments.
Staff Support
Sometimes employees need a confidential space away from colleagues, managers and the pressures of the workplace to talk about what they are experiencing.
I provide confidential one-to-one therapeutic support for employees experiencing personal or
work-related difficulties, including stress, anxiety, low mood, bereavement, relationship difficulties, workplace pressures and significant life changes.
Support can be provided on a short-term basis or as part of a wider employee wellbeing programme, depending on the needs of the organisation. Sessions provide employees with an independent and non-judgemental space where they can explore what is happening for them and consider ways of moving forward.
Individual and organisational arrangements are available.
Consultancy
Every organisation is different, and approaches to mental health and wellbeing are most effective when they reflect the needs of the people within them.
I work collaboratively with organisations that want to explore or strengthen their approach to employee wellbeing, mental health and neuro-inclusive working practices.
This may include reviewing existing wellbeing provision, contributing to the development of new initiatives, facilitating conversations with teams or managers, and providing a therapeutic perspective on workplace wellbeing.
My approach is collaborative rather than prescriptive. The starting point is understanding your organisation, its people and what you would like to achieve.
